About Janita

With over a decade of professional experience, Janita is a classically trained harpist whose musical journey began at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, where she earned her Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance under the tutelage of Sebastien Lipman, former Principal Harpist of the Berlin Philharmonic.

A seasoned performer, Janita has built a diverse career as a soloist and collaborator in orchestras, duos, and chamber groups. Her artistry has led her to share the stage with world-renowned artists including Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli, and she has had the honour of serving as harpist for the Governor of Queensland.

Specialising in weddings and bespoke events, Janita brings a personal and polished touch to every performance. Whether performing in cathedrals, gardens, or intimate venues, she works closely with clients to craft a musical experience that reflects their vision. Her versatility spans genres from classical and Irish folk to jazz, pop, and electronic ambient soundscapes.

Janita performs on two beautiful Lyon and Healy harps—both pedal and lever—handcrafted in Chicago. She also offers themed and costumed performances, ensuring every detail is as visually striking as it is musically memorable.

Beyond the stage, Janita is passionate about the healing power of music, having contributed to yoga classes, hospital programs, and music therapy research projects.
